Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Meelro (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use meelro.com and the Meelro app (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information — your email address and password (passwords are stored hashed by our authentication provider; we never see them in plain text).
• Profile information — a username, and anything you choose to add such as a display name or job role.
• Content you create — design submissions, community posts, comments, and reactions.
• Usage data — progress, XP, streaks, and other data generated as you practise, used to power the learning experience.
• Technical data — basic log information (such as IP address and browser type) needed to operate and secure the Service.

How we use your information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To authenticate you and send essential account emails (verification, password reset, and important notices).
• To generate AI-assisted feedback on your work (see “AI processing” below).
• To keep the community safe and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

AI processing

When you request feedback, the relevant content you submit is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to generate that feedback and return it to you. We do not use your content to train our own models.

Service providers

We rely on trusted third parties to run the Service, including Supabase (authentication, database, and storage) and Anthropic (AI feedback). When we introduce self-serve paid plans, card payments will be handled by Stripe; Stripe processes your payment details directly and we never store your full card number. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure your session. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data at any time (see “Your rights”). Some records may be retained where required by law.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To make a request, email hello@meelro.com and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we’ll remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above, and where appropriate we’ll notify you.
